I was scared and frustrated. At that point I didn't know what to do. Geepers, I still don't know what to do. I just prevent most days. But that's ok.
I honestly cannot believe how much has changed in this past year. From school, my family relationships, personal relationships, health. So much is different. I think I could also say at this pout that so much of it is good, no, scratch that, it's great! Right now as I write I am going back to camp with a group of people who went up the Terrace for staff break. It was tons of fun. This summer has been an amazing blessing, meeting new people, traveling and just doing new things.
But before I go on I must tell you how this week and been kind of amazing. If you remember I had problems with my eyes when I exercise and when my body temperature goes up. So when I play sports, fast paced walks, or climb a mountain my vision gets really bad. For the most part on a fast paced walk it goes to about 70%. (100% being normal) However I have been on 3 hikes (fairly good ones, well at least one was about 2 hours up) in the last 5 days. The worst my vision got was 85%. If that. Maybe even closer to 90. I am still blown away and shocked. I have no idea why I was able to see, or how. But I was. It was just really nice to be able to do something like that and only have to worry about my shortness of breath or the pain in my knees, cramping of calves and thighs. But hey, I could see, it was a terrible but good trade off.
These past few days have been really nice, a good break from camp and spending time with new friends. I have has energy and am feeling refreshed for the last few weeks of camp. I am looking forward to learning more throughout the next few weeks and getting more geared up for school and classes in a month. But it should be good.
Thank you for your prayer and support.
Kate
